Privacy Policy

We keep privacy simple: collect only what is needed to run MealPlanned, never sell your data, and make deletion requests straightforward.

What we collect

To run MealPlanned, we store:

  • Account data: name, email address, and password hash (never plain text)
  • Authentication and security data: refresh token records, password reset token records, and related security metadata
  • Household data: family membership, family name, member list, and invite records
  • Meal planning data: meals, ratings, notes, weekly plans, pantry items, and shopping lists
  • Subscription and billing metadata: trial status, premium status, Stripe customer ID, and Stripe subscription ID
  • Marketing consent data: opt-in and opt-out status, plus unsubscribe token records
  • Product analytics and diagnostics data from PostHog and Sentry

We do not collect your contacts. We do not sell your data. We do not run third-party ads.

How data is used

Your data is used to run core product features, manage billing and subscription state, prevent abuse, monitor reliability, and send account or consented email communications.

What we don't do

We do not sell personal data. We do not share meal or household data with third parties for marketing. We do not process raw card details on our servers.

Third-party services

A small number of services help MealPlanned run:

Stripe

Handles payment processing. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.

PostHog

Usage analytics with account-linked identify events and privacy controls, including disabled autocapture and event/property scrubbing.

Sentry

Error monitoring to catch and fix bugs. Error reports may include technical context but are not used for any other purpose.

Resend

Transactional and marketing email delivery, plus contact sync for consented email communication.

Cloudflare Turnstile

Bot and abuse protection for sensitive flows such as invite previews and account recovery.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account in-app from Profile → Account Controls. Deletion is permanent and immediate once confirmed.

Household planning data remains available to other household members. Premium renewal is canceled right away when the deleting account is the active payer.
