Privacy Policy

We keep privacy simple: collect only what's needed, never sell your data, and make it easy to request deletion.

What we collect

To run MealPlanned, we store:

  • Your email address and password (hashed — we never store it in plain text)
  • Household membership (who's in your family group)
  • Meals you add: names, descriptions, ratings, notes
  • Weekly plans and which meals were served on which days
  • Subscription status (whether you're on a free or paid plan)

We don't collect your location, contacts, device identifiers, or any information not listed above.

How data is used

Your data powers the product: saving meals, building weekly plans, tracking what was served, and enabling household collaboration. Nothing else.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. No third party receives your meal or household data for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

A small number of services help MealPlanned run:

Stripe

Handles payment processing. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.

PostHog

Anonymous usage analytics to understand how features are used. Autocapture is disabled and no personally identifiable information is sent.

Sentry

Error monitoring to catch and fix bugs. Error reports may include technical context but are not used for any other purpose.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account in-app from account settings, or request deletion by emailing support@mealplanned.io.

Data is retained while your account is active and removed when you request deletion.
